Aaron Rogers


NORWICH – Aaron Scott Rogers, known as “Buster,” 85, of Norwich, passed away early Friday morning, October 5, 2007 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pittsfield in June of 1922, Buster was the son of William and Edna (Ward) Rogers. A farmer by nature and preference, he worked first on the family farm and later spent many years as a farm hand on the Tony Bays dairy farm in Smyrna. On March 19, 1971, he married Edna Ray. Buster and Edna were a long-time residents of Whaupaunaucau Road and, following her death in May of 2005, Buster moved from his Whaupaunaucau Road home to Preston Manor.
Buster is survived by his sisters: Edna Tarbox of Jordanville, Marie Tyler of Morris, Mildred Dixon of Unadilla, and Mae Tarbox of Mohawk; by his brother, Walter Rogers of Sherburne, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Edna, his son, Aaron Amos Rogers, and sister, Ella Hall.
At Buster’s request, there will be no formal funeral service or calling hours. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of his family in Union Cemetery of Edmeston.
Arrangements are by the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
