JOSEPHINE GARRUTO
OXFORD – Josephine J. Garruto, 88, of Oxford passed away on Sept. 24, 2007. 
She was born on Jan. 17, 1919 in Canandaigua, the daughter of the late Rosario and Josephine (Glorioso) DiMartino. On Aug. 23, 1941 she married Ralph Garruto, who passed away on Dec. 26, 1982.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ralph Garruto, and James and Donna Garruto all of Oxford; her grandchildren, Jessica Garruto of Boyds, Md., Jason and Jessie Garruto of Middletown, Md., John and Kara Garruto of Frederick, Md., and Angela Garruto of Frisco, Colo.; her sisters, Sara and Dick Catalano of Sarasota, Fla. and Kate Garruto of Ensenada, Calif.  Her grandson James Garruto, sister, Mary Musolino and her brothers, Sam DiMartino and Tony DiMartino predeceased her.
She was hair stylist for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Oxford for many years. She loved to be active with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening, baking and drawing.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas I. Ward at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s RC Church followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
