NORWICH – Pauline E. Law, 77, life-long area resident, passed away on July 5, 2006, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Born in Norwich on Aug. 23, 1928, Pauline was the only daughter of George C. and Pearl (Jones) White Sr. She grew up in North Norwich, and attended the Sherburne schools. On April 22, 1955, in Norwich, she married Milford C. Law, who would predecease her on March 11, 1965, at the age of 34, just short of their 10th wedding anniversary. A quiet but friendly lady, Pauline worked for a time in the kitchen at Chenango Memorial Hospital, and was employed for many years by the Norwich Shoe Company.
Pauline is survived by her brother, George White Jr. and wife Barbara of Oxford; by her nephews: Michael White of Portland, Ore., Paul White of Sherburne, and David White and wife Debbie of Waldorf, Md.; and by several cousins.
Graveside services for Pauline will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Witherow, pastor of the New Life Free Methodist Church of Endicott, will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
