Robert Clock


PRESTON – Robert S. Clock, 81, long-time resident of Preston Manor, passed away Saturday evening, Sept. 22, 2007 in the Valley View Manor Nursing Home of Norwich.
The son of Charles and Ethel (Warner) Clock, Bob was born on the family farm in Afton in October of 1925. He lived there the early part of his life, having attended the local schools as he was growing up. Bob was a farmer by nature and by experience, and lived on the family farm until the early 1960s when he took up residence at Preston Manor, his home for 47 years. Only recently had he made the move to Valley View Manor in Norwich.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Mabel Lent of Oneonta and Maude Fairchild of New Mexico, plus nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters: Helen McNeely, Mary Butler, Ruth Saari and Thelma Nichols; and by his brothers: Chauncey, William, Clarence, and Howard Clock.
Graveside services for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the East Side Cemetery of Afton. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
