NORWICH – Donald G. Marvin, 53 years, of Silver Street, passed away Sunday July 2, 2006 at his home.
Donald was born on June 1, 1953, the son of Richard and Dorothy Gallinger Marvin. He had been a resident of the Norwich area most of his life. He was a 1972 graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School and after graduation he entered the U.S. Army and was stationed at the Seneca Army Depot in the Military Police. After his honorable discharge from the Army he worked as a security guard and construction. Don helped build the Golden Age Apartments and later became the manager of the complex. Don also had worked for Victory Markets and Brightman’s Hardware Store.
He is survived by his sister Diane Marvin of Gilbertsville and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday from Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich, with the Rev. Michael Shank pastor of Christ Church, Gilbertsville, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
