GREENE – Melissa (Wells) Vickers of Greene, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; sisters, Levada Matson and Edith Smith; and by a brother, Allen Wells. She is survived by sister, Eleanor Hendrickson, Kirkwood; nieces and nephews, Alberta Palmitier, Cecile Drake, Bernadine and Doug Bagg, Lamont and Gail Smith, Allen and Mary Matson, Elaine and Rev. Gary Doupe, Bruce and Kathy Hendrickson, Linda and Curtis Bronson; many great and great-grandnieces and nephews, cousins, close friends, her loving caregivers; and faithful companion, Cuddles.
Melissa graduated from New Berlin High School Class of 1933. She did post graduate studies in secretarial and bookkeeping. She was employed by Tarbell Farms in Smithville, and was secretary to the Principal at Greene Central School.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Root Funeral Home. Friends of the family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Root Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
