GREENE – Madelyn L. Parks, 91, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at New York State Veterans Home, Oxford.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sr.; daughter, Betty; and son, Orin. She is survived by eight children, Sheila and Robert Grant, Myaka, Fla., JoAnn Brewer, Guilford, Kay and Jim VanTassell, Binghamton, Robert Jr. and Dianna Parks, Venice Center, Ronald and Donna Parks, McDonough, Carl and Roberta Parks, Bushnell, Fla., Gary and Marge Parks, Sarasota, Fla., Larry and Sue Parks, Parish, Fla.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Madelyn was a wonderful person who was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene. Burial was be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene. Friends of the family called Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 until noon at Root Funeral Home.
