Kenneth Kehoe


SHERBURNE – Kenneth E. Kehoe, 77, of East Capitol, Washington, DC, formerly of Sherburne, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 at Sibley Hospital, Washington, DC.
He was born Septe. 13, 1929 in Sherburne, a son of James A., Jr. and Anna O’Connor Kehoe, the 39th of 39 first cousins of the Kehoe family. He was a graduate of Lemoyne College, St. Michael’s College, and received his Masters Degree in social work from Catholic University in Washington, DC. He was a psychology social worker at the VA Hospital in Washington, DC for 35 years until his retirement. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Kehoe was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington, DC. He loved flowers and gardening and was active in his local garden club. He was also very active in the community on Capital Hill. Ken was an artist who had painted hundreds of paintings.
Surviving are his sister-in-law, Hermene Kehoe of Sherburne; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Donald, James and William Kehoe.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Malachy’s Parish Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the Wm. W. Kehoe Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Friday from 5-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 4200 Harewood Rd. NE, Washington, DC 20017; or to St. Peter’s Endowment Fund, c/o Fr. Patrick O’ Sullivan, 2nd and C Sts. SE, Washington, DC 20003.
Arrangements are under the direction of David L. Tedesco.
