IDA LEFEVER
GUILFORD – Ida P. LeFever, 92, of Guilford, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2006, at the New York State Veterans’ Home in Oxford.
She was born July 2, 1914, daughter of the late Charles and Jennie (Hymers) Peters in North Kortright.
Ida graduated from Delhi Academy and later married George C. LeFever. He predeceased her on March 5, 1988. Together they owned and operated The Pillers in Guilford for 17 years. Ida was a member of the Sidney Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary and the Oxford American Legion Auxiliary.
Ida is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pam LeFever of Bainbridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana Mae and Burt Drumm of Dallas, Ga. and Kathleen and Gil Becker of Franklin; a sister, Marion Utter of Delhi along with nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by two sisters, Jean Landers and Beulah Kwikowski.
Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Westcott Funeral Home, Unadilla. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Willett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the NYS Veterans Home Resident Donation Fund, 4211 State Highway 220, Oxford.
