Kelcey P. Spaven


SHERBURNE – Kelcey P. Spaven, 3 years old, went to be with the angels Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in Mary Imogene Hospital, Cooperstown.
She was born December 4, 2003 in New Hartford, the much loved daughter of Gary L. Spaven, Jr. and Danielle Ferris Edwards.
Kelcey was a very active three-year-old who deeply enjoyed the outdoors and being in the woods. She loved the trampoline and currently was taking swimming lessons. She enjoyed being with her cousins and watching her favorite T.V. program, “Dora.”
She is survived by her parents, Danielle and Michael Edwards of Sherburne, Gary L. Spaven, Jr. of Clark Mills, two brothers Colby Spaven, who will remember her every time he finds a toad, and Seth Sloma, a sister Kaylie Edwards, her maternal grandmother Jackie Ferris and Thomas Wilcox, Jr. of Westmoreland, paternal grandparents Gary and Diane Spaven of Westmoreland, maternal grandmother Clara Symonds of Sherburne, maternal grandfather Henry Edwards, Sr. of Sherburne and maternal great grandmother Louise Diamond of Sherburne. Kelcey is also survived by her paternal great grandmother Aileen Spaven of Westmoreland, paternal great grandmother Bessie Asmer of New Hartford, aunts and uncles Dawn and Rodney Sitts of Sherburne, Matthew Boise and Jodi Szarek of Westmoreland, William Cotter or Westmoreland, Tammi Livermore and Tom of Clark Mills, Dana Spaven and John of Westmoreland, David Beaver of Va., Todd and Sarah Livermore of Rome and several great aunts and uncles and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Friends are invited and may call Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
Interment will be in St. Malachy’s Cemetery, Sherburne.
