Dolores Reese


SHERBURNE – Dolores LeClair Reese, 81, of Granville Hill Rd., formerly of Earlville, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007 at her home.
She was born Sept. 19, 1925 in Keeseville, a daughter of Delor and Florence Mitchell LeClair. She was a graduate of Keeseville High School in 1943, received her RN in the Cadet Nurse Corps. in 1945. She received her Masters in Education from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1946. On May 2, 1948, Dolores was united in marriage to Leslie A. Reese, Jr. in Keeseville. He predeceased her on Feb. 7, 1976. For 32 years, Dolores was a school nurse/teacher in the Earlville Central School and then for the Sherburne-Earlville Central School system until her retirement in 1980.  She had been an Earlville resident from 1947 until moving to Sherburne in 1999.
Mrs. Reese was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne, and a former member of St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lee and Stephen Perrin of Sherburne; a son, Douglas Reese and his partner Jose Carrasquillo of Vieques, Puerto Rico; two grandchildren, Adam and Luke Perrin; a brother, Robert LeClair of Keeseville; two sisters-in-law, Shirley (LeClair) Bruno of Plattsburgh and Judy LeClair of Keeseville; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and John LeClair, and a sister-in-law Germaine LeClair.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Church, 1803 Main St., Keeseville, followed by interment in the Douglas Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville.
