POOLVILLE – AnnaBelle Bennett, 82, of Poolville, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville.
She was born in Earlville on Feb. 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Harold and Katherine Hughes Holmes. She graduated from Earlville High School and furthered her education with secretarial training. On Aug. 26, 1945 in Poolville, she was united in marriage to H. Maxey Bennett, Jr. He predeceased her on Aug. 15, 1993. AnnaBelle was employed by Colgate University as office manager of admissions for 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Poolville United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her daughter Lisa A. France of Amsterdam; a son Gary A. Bennett of Poolville; two granddaughters, April and Erica France and to great-grandchildren, Jacob and Austin Marris as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Holmes.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Poolville United Methodist. Interment will follow in the Poolville Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville.
