SOUTH OTSELIC  – Shyanne Autumn Somers, 12 years old, of South Otselic, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 8, 2007.
The daughter of James and Kathy (Rice) Somers, Shyanne was born in Norwich on June 12, 1995. A bubbly, enthusiastic, and bright little girl, she was a recent graduate of the 6th grade class of the Otselic Valley Central School. Shyanne was an outgoing girl who loved nature, fishing and being outdoors. Compassionate by nature, she deeply loved her family and cared about others. She was a big fan of the NRA, hoping someday to “run the NRA,” and looked forward to the day when she was old enough to go hunting with her parents.
Shyanne is survived by her dad and mom, James and Kathy Somers of South Otselic; by brothers Ryan and Gabriel Somers; paternal grandparents Lewis and Betty Somers of South Plymouth; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her big German Shepherd and best buddy, Oz.
Private funeral services for Shyanne will be held at the convenience of her family from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. Friends are welcome to call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
