Mildred Meister


OXFORD – Mildred Seiler Meister, 86, of Palatka, Fla. and formerly of Oxford and Earlville, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007, after an extended illness.
She was born April 12, 1921 in Greenwood, Delaware, daughter of Adam & Bertha Seiler. She was graduated from Oxford Academy and Central School in 1939. On March 31, 1946, she married Harold Meister of Earlville, who survives.
Also surviving is a sister Mabel Barber of Oxford, and sister-in-law, Eleanor Seiler of Zephyrhills, Fla., Bonita Van Wagner of Groveland, Fla. and Eudora Miller and her husband Alfred of Groveland, Fla.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brothers Frank, John and Charles Seiler and a sister, Helen Root.
Mildred spent her time being a devoted wife and sister. For a time, she was employed at Agway Farm Store, Norwich. Her favorite pastimes included baking cakes, playing bingo and working on ceramics. She was an enthusiastic creator of a wide variety of porcelain and a regular doll collection.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Masters Funeral Home, Palatka, Fla.
