Helen Parker


EARLVILLE – Helen M. Parker, 89, formerly of Earlville and Lebanon, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Chenango Memorial Hospital Residential Care Facility in Norwich.
She was born March 17, 1918 in Islin, Pa., a daughter of Mark and Anna Butrey Mussision, and she received her education in Earlville schools. On December 31, 1935, Helen was married to Albert M. Parker in Oneida Castle. He predeceased her on June 20, 1980. Mrs. Parker had worked for T.A.C.O in Sherburne and Colgate University in Hamilton. She had also helped her husband in the operation of their dairy farm and their store, Parker & Son General Store in Lebanon.
Helen was a member of the Lebanon Federated Church and the Philathea Doers. She had also been a member of the Madinango Rebekah Lodge #563 of Earlville and the Lebanon Home Bureau.
Surviving are her daughter, Sylvia Jantzen of Sherburne; five sisters, Katherine Sterle of Eaton; Mary Jenne of Waterville; Anne Dale of Sherburne; Rose Knasick and Eva Campbell, both of Lebanon; a grandson and his wife, Kyle and Suzette Merkt of Earlville; four great-grandchildren, Joscelyn, Dana, Troy and Kyla; two sisters-in-law, Muriel Musician and Marie Mussision, both of Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter and two sons-in-law, Shirley and Donald Merkt; and Charles Jantzen, Jr.; and two brothers, Frank Musician and Charles Mussision.
Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family in the Earlville Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess& Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville.
