Helen Gertrude Padgett Camp, age 86, of Monticello, Georgia died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Newton Medical Center in Covington, Georgia.
Mrs. Helen Camp was born in Garrattsville, NY, the daughter of the late Claude and Edna Padgett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward Camp and two brothers. Mrs. Camp moved to Monticello from New Berlin, NY in 1992. She was a member of the Monticello Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Mrs. Camp was also very active in the Pink Ladies, the Busy Bees/Project Linus, and the Monticello Garden Club. She will be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren for her New Year’s Eve parties.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Warren Edward and Mary Camp of Monticello, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Martin Tucker of Bunnell, Florida; grandchildren, Tim Camp, Amy Camp Beck, Erin Camp Lynch, Bret Tucker, and Trevor Tucker; and great grandchildren, Ashley Camp, Lauren Camp, Jarred Camp, Gracyn Beck, Sara Beck, Braden Lynch, Shannon Tucker, Benjamin Lynch, Ethan Lynch, Brianna Tucker, and Hailey Tucker.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 25, at the Monticello Baptist Church in Monticello, Georgia. Dr. Kerry Bunn officiated.
The family suggests donations to the Monticello Baptist Church, 334 W. Greene Street, Monticello, Georgia 31064.
