Randy Keith Joy, 42 of Franklin and formerly of Morris died Saturday, June 23 in Franklin. He was born in New Berlin, on October 1, 1964 the son of Jerry and Eva (Harrington) Joy. He was a graduate of Morris Central School class of 1983. He was a former employee of the New York Department of Transportation in Oneonta. He was an avid Hunter and fisherman and enjoyed teaching his children hunting and fishing skills and an appreciation of the great outdoors. He was baptized and attended the Garrattsville Methodist Church; He was a member of the N.R.A. and the West Winfield Archery Club. Randy is survived by his Fiancée, Connie Brandt of Franklin, His parents, Jerry and Eva Joy of New Lisbon, his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Melissa Lester of Oneonta, his children Jason Keith Joy, Brittany Laura Joy and Brianna Nadine Joy as well as a brother Jim Joy and wife Jamie of Morris, a sister Jeanette Utter and husband Tim of Morris and several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 29, from 12: noon until 2:00 pm at which time a memorial service will be held at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris with the Rev. Stephen Reese officiating. Committal services will follow at the Hillington Cemetery in Morris.
