William R. “bill” Carney


 SHERBURNE – William R. “Bill” Carney, 72, of Handsome Brook Court passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
He was born July 21, 1934 in Taberg, a son of George A. and Ola Isabel Cable Carney and received his education in Sherburne schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On May 9, 1959, Bill was united in marriage to Shirley G. Frink in Sherburne. Mr. Carney was self employed as a truck driver and cattle dealer until his retirement in 1989.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; three sons and two daughters-in-law, William Carney of Binghamton; Michael and Cindy Carney of Sherburne; Anthony and Veronica Carney of Cisco, TX; a brother, George Carney, Jr. of Victor; a sister-in-law, Virginia Carney of Sherburne; four grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel, Amber and Berenica; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey A. Carney on April 20, 1999; a sister, Edna Loveland, and three brothers, Robert, Donald and James Carney.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family with interment in St. Malachy’s Cemetery, Sherburne.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
