NORWICH – Donald F. Murray Sr., 63 of Bolivia, N.C. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 8, 2007, at his residence in Bolivia, after a short illness.
Born Dec.11, 1943 in Norwich, he was the son of Harry Winner of Marsaville and the late Ardene Winner. He was raised and educated in Cincinnatus. He was employed by Golub Corporation for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks 2157 and the Loyal Order of Moose, Oak Island, N.C.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Patricia (Loomis) Murray; sons, Donald F. Murray, Jr. (Jill) of Rotterdam and Gregory R. Murray (Sherri) of Bolivia and his grandchildren Jeffrey & Mike Murray, Bolivia; and Ashley & Karley Murray of Rotterdam. Local survivors include his wife’s family, Robert & Cheryl Loomis, Norwich; Timothy & Kathleen Crandall, Norwich; Robert & Debbie Matteson, Smyrna; Mark & Betsy Lindholm, Smyrna, William & Betsy Loomis, Norwich and Brian & Pegi LoPresti, Norwich. In addition, Don is survived by many brothers and sisters as well as nieces and nephews in the Albany area.
Memorial services were held on May 21 at DeMarko & Stone Funeral Home in Schenectady. Burial will be in the Schenectady Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
