Mary Kalicicki


OXFORD – Mary Buckhout Kalicicki, 85, residing at the New York State Veterans’ Home, entered into peace and glory on Monday, May 14, 2007.
Mary was the daughter of the late Harry and Adeline Buckhout. She was born on June 9, 1921, in New York City. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, John F. Kalicicki Sr., her brother Harry Jr., sisters Anna Atwell and Pauline Anderson Valentine, and great grandchild Tyier Bosket. She is survived by her loving and caring children and their spouses: Barbara and John Serke, Beverly and William Marsh, John and Marjorie Kalicicki, and Mary Ann and Clarence Bosket. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Christopher Bosket, Jennifer Baehre, Jeffrey Marsh, David Serke, and Anthony and Thomas Kalicicki, as well as five great grandchildren: Chandler, Cooper, and Maximus Bosket and Everett and Carter Serke. Many nephews, nieces, and close friends will also remember her.
Mary worked for many years at the former Norwich Pharmacal Company. After her husband’s retirement, they enjoyed many winters in Florida. Mary also had close friends in Summerville, SC, where she lived near her daughter, Mary Ann, for several years.
The family would like to thank all the nurses, aides, and volunteers at the Veterans’ Home for their special attention and care for mom, especially Dr. Dave. Mary is dearly loved by her family who will always miss her. We thank God for the blessings she brought into our lives.
A Mass of Resurrection for Mary will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Paul’s Church, 30 Pleasant St., Norwich. The Rev. Stanley Gerlock ofBinghamton will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery of Oxford. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday evening at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 North Broad St., Norwich.
