NORWICH – Toni M. Natoli, 53, life long Norwich resident, passed away Tuesday morning, May 9, 2007 at the James Square Nursing Home in Syracuse where she had made her home for the past several years.
Born Aug. 8, 1953 in Norwich, Toni was the daughter of Angelo “Rack” and Margaret Beismer Natoli. Toni spent her whole life in Norwich and was a 1971 graduate of the Norwich High School. She had worked in various positions for over 25 years for GTE and Citizens Telecom of Norwich.
Toni’s greatest love was her family which followed through with her love of children. A very strong willed and independent person, Toni was very much in charge of her own life and its surroundings. She adored tigers and had accumulated a vast collection of them over the years and she also was fond of angels and hearts. Over the years, Toni acquired the artistic ability to do ceramics, needle point and cross stitch. She was also a very avid bingo player.
Toni is survived by her mother, Margaret Natoli of Norwich; her sister Michele Haughton of Liverpool; her brothers, Michael Natoli and his companion Ticia Strong of Norwich and Guy Natoli of Rochester; her nieces and nephews, Jonathan and Joseph Haughton of Syracuse, Michael Angelo Natoli II of Sherburne, Matthew Roy Natoli of Charlotte, N.C., Simeon Paul Natoli of Glenns Falls, Megan Michele Natoli and Marissa Margaret Natoli both of Norwich; one great nephew Michael Natoli and great niece Katlyn Marie Natoli. Several cousins also survive.
A Mass of Resurrection for Toni will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church. The Rev. Lester Smith will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. The recitation of the Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. from the funeral home.
