ROBERT SCHRIBER
NEW BERLIN – Robert Leslie Schriber, 83, of New Berlin, died May 6, 2007 in Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
He was born Aug. 25, 1923 in Walton, the son of Oscar and Daisy Schriber. He spent his childhood in the Buffalo area. He was a graduate of New Berlin Central School. Robert attended college in Santa Clara, Calif. while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. On June 1, 1948, he married Betty Jean (Talbot) Schriber, who survives.
Robert was a retired engineer for Kraft Foods. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Rotary Club.
In addition to his wife, Robert is also survived by his children, Gary Schriber of Westbrook, Maine, Howard Schriber of Daytona Beach, Fla., Vicki Mulhair of Sherburne and Pamela Haight of Hamilton. A sister, Beatrice Ciotelli of Schenectady and a brother, Oscar Schriber of Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin. Reverend Beverly Butler of the First United Methodist Church, New Berlin, will officiate.
Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
