Sharon Wheeler


BAINBRIDGE – Sharon G. Wheeler, 65, of Co. Rd. 17, Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, May 2, 2007 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Born in Norwich on May 2, 1942, Sharon was the daughter of Horace and Violet (Murray) Jackson. She attended school in Norwich, and it was in Norwich that she married Armond Wheeler on Sept. 5, 1958. To Sharon’s family, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and in spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In quiet moments, she loved doing crafts, and received much pleasure from working in her garden.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Armond Wheeler of Bainbridge; by her children and their families: Peggy Wheeler of Easton, Pa., and her children Edward, Forest, and Paulina; Debbie Tomino of Saylorsburg, Pa., and her daughter Felicia; Armond Wheeler III of Unadilla, his wife Diane, and children Armond IV, Jessica, Glenn, and Jennifer; Kandy Reed of Easton, husband George, and children Sarah, Shania, and Dakota; Arnold Wheeler of Saylorsburg, wife Tracy, and children Abby and Katie; Armanda Crandall-Wheeler, husband Robert, and daughter Remington; Adrianne Moore and Benjamin Perry of Greene, and children Brittany, J. J., and Benjamin; Mark Wheeler of Oneonta, wife Gwen, and sons Devin, Kyle, and Conner; Matthew Wheeler of Oneonta, wife Amy, and children Jeanea, Matthew, and Grade; and John Wheeler of Unadilla, wife Melissa, and children Dillion, Braidon, and Logan. Sharon is also survived by her sisters, Carol Coon of Norwich and Gloria Washbum of Sherburne; by five great grandchildren; and her aunt, Marian Donnelly of Norwich.
Funeral services for Sharon will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Conover, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the South Plymouth Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Sharon’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
