NORWICH – Joan Doane, 62, of 19 Brown St., Norwich, passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2007 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. 
She was born on April 12, 1945 in Norwich, the daughter of the late George and Helen (Welton) Doane.
 Her sons, Clayton Doane of Norwich and Jason Doane of Otego; her sisters and brother in law, Sharon Kasting of Milan, Ind. and Billie and Harry Knapp of South New Berlin; her brother, Charles Doane; her aunt, Marjorie Welton of South New Berlin and several nieces, nephews and cousins survive her.
 Joan graduate from Norwich High School.  She had worked at the Norwich Mills, TACO and most recently at CWS in Norwich. She loved animals and was a member of the North Shore Animal League and the Chenango County SPCA. She enjoyed butterflies and angels.
 Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
 Memorial contributions may be made to the Chenango County SPCA or the American Heart Assn.
 The Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
