Marie Conley


 EARLVILLE – Marie N. Conley, 97, formerly of Earlville and Hamilton, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Martin Luther Home, Clinton.
She was born Sept. 30, 1909 in the Town of Lebanon, a daughter of Melvin H. and Ernestine Benedict Niles. She was a graduate of Georgetown High School and then Morrisville Agricultural and Technical College in 1931. On Sept. 25, 1932, Marie was united in marriage to John A. Conley in Lebanon. He predeceased her on Aug. 3, 1985.
Mrs. Conley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Earlville where she served on several committees. She was a former member of the Hit or Miss Club of Earlville.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Thomas Cooper of Circleville, Ohio; a son, Harry Conley of Earlville; grandchildren, David Cooper of Oswego; Evan Cooper of Marietta, Ga.; Paul Cooper of Dallas, Ga.; Carl and Linda Conley of Smyrna; Catherine and Stephen Schonwetter of Lake George; Cheryl and Doug Wright of Mansfield, Pa.; Cory Conley of Boston, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Catherine Niles of Warrensburg; five great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Carroll B. Niles and Kenneth E. Niles.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, followed by burial in the Earlville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service.
