Margaret Manwarren


SOUTH PLYMOUTH – Margaret A. Brazee Manwarren, 85, a 40-year resident of South Plymouth, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 10, 2007 in the Valley View Manor Nursing Home of Norwich.
The daughter of George and Myra (Sisson) Brazee, Margaret was born in Plymouth on Oct. 11, 1921. Growing up in Plymouth, she attended school in Kirk and New Berlin. Margaret had worked for a time for Berglas Manufacturing in Norwich, and for Lily White in Sherburne, before being hired by Norwich Shoe Company where she worked for over 20 years. She was a very family-oriented lady who enjoyed her home and the family camp at Plymouth Reservoir, where she liked to fish. Margaret loved to travel and had taken many trips. At home, she enjoyed camping, feeding the birds at her feeders, doing puzzles and playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by her long-time companion, Kenneth Decker of South Plymouth; and by her children: Gloria Fox and husband Floyd of Otselic, Wilson Manwarren and wife Bridgette of Plymouth, Clayton Manwarren of Sherburne, Shirley Collar and husband Robert of Sherburne, Clarence Manwarren and wife Dawn of Oxford, Sandra Kennedy and husband Ralph of Oxford. Also surviving are Margaret’s sisters: Mildred Manwarren of Sherburne, Doris Monroe of Norwich, and Wanda Gregory of New Berlin; her brother, Richard Brazee of Sherburne; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and by her faithful friend, her dog Ginger. Margaret was predeceased by her son, Glenn Manwarren; her sisters, Grace Knapp, Ora Manwarren, and Daisy Monroe; and her brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Joyce Brazee.
Funeral services for Margaret will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. Interment will be in the South Plymouth Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Margaret’s family has asked that memorial contributions be sent to the Plymouth Fire Dept., Plymouth, NY 13832.
