Samuel Mrosz


MCDONOUGH – Samuel Mrosz, 96, of McDonough passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2007 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. He was born on December 23, 1910 in the state of Washington, the son of the late John and Felixia Mrosz. On December 28, 1941 he married Ruth Aldrich, who survives. 
Besides his wife of 65 years, Ruth; he is survived by his sister, Jennie Albro of Utica; his sisters in law and brothers in law, Irma Davis of Oregon, Rena and Andy Gracin, Olive Sturges, and Eleanor and Albert Mirabito all of Norwich, Harry and June Aldrich of Florida, and Elmer and Adelaide Aldrich of Oxford. His brother Stanley Mrosz and sister Katherine Brennan predeceased him.
Sam loved to hunt and trap all of his life. He was a skilled carpenter and worked for many years for the Boylan’s in German. He helped build a barn and a new house on their farm. Following his retirement, he enjoyed woodcarving and making turkey calls. He was an accomplished storyteller.
Graveside services will be held in Union Cemetery, McDonough on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 2 p.m. There will be no visiting hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford.
