NINEVEH – Johnny Hart, Creator of the comic strip, “B.C.” and “The Wizard of Id,” passed away unexpectedly at his drawing board on Saturday afternoon April 7, 2006 in Nineveh, NY.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bobby Hart; two daughters, Patti & Perri; two grandsons; a brother; a sister; two nephews; lifelong friends; godchild and his beloved Church Family along with many, many other family, friends and fans.
Funeral services will be held at the Nineveh Presbyterian Church, 2997 state Route 7 on Friday, April 13 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Nineveh Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home, 69-71 Maple Street, Harpursville, on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Johnny may be made to the Nineveh Presbyterian Church Building Fund, POB 115, Nineveh, NY 13813.
