Betty Winner


OXFORD – Betty Ann Winner, 81 of Tyner Road, Oxford passed away on June 13, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. 
She was born on Sept. 3, 1924 in Mt. Upton the daughter of the late Ralph and Muriel (Beckwith) Wackford. On Sept. 5, 1942 she married Edwin Winner, who survives.
Besides her husband, Ed of Oxford she is survived by her children, Noreen and Frank Morley of Robbinsville, N.C., Sammy (Edwina) and Richard Diamond, Lorraine and Gary Rice, Jan and Paula Winner, Tab and Debbie Winner and Kimberly (Winner) Cruz; her grandchildren, Toni Lynne Eppolito, Dena and Steve Estelow, Stacey and Julio Valadez, Thad and Michele Rice, Shanie and Dennis Mack, Stephanie and Rich Maricle, Josh Washington, T.J. Winner, Jan Rae Washington, Amber Winner, Ashley Winner, Jarid Winner and Caden Cruz; her great grandchildren, Shannon and Michelle Ensley, Brandi Estelow, Kisha Estelow, Chelsea Estelow, Shelby Maricle, Vada Mack, Stevie Estelow, Damon Maricle, Cole Rice, Cooper Rice, Karissa Maricle, Cain Mack and Madison Rickard; her great great grandson, Thomas Ensley; her sister, Barbara and Jim Ruckart of Plano, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Her loyal companion Zeke also survives her.
She was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central School, Class of 1941. She was a member of the United Church of Oxford. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting and bird watching. She was an avid wrestling fan, especially the Oxford High School wrestlers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, NY with the Rev. Allen Lang, pastor of her church officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Friday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Wrestling Boosters, c/o Kelly Howe, 58 N. Washington Ave., Oxford, NY 13830.
