BENJAMIN MELVILLE
NORWICH – Benjamin D. Melville, 44, of Keene Valley, died on June 9, 2006 in an automobile accident.
Ben was the son of Dean F. and Sandra A. Melville of Norwich.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Shannon; his brothers, Garth A. Melville of Weehawken, N.J. and Matthew H. Melville of AuSable Forks; by his grandmother Clara P. Baldwin of Rochester; by several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; and by his parents. Ben was married to the former Sarah Manley, from whom he had been separated for several years.
Ben was born in Ithaca on March 30, 1962. He graduated from Lyndon Institute in Lyndon, Vermont, and was employed as a carpenter.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Calling hours will take place on Wednesday at the Keene Valley Congregational Church from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery near Norwich at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
