DeRUYTER – Dorothy M. Stalker, 67, of DeRuyter, passed away Friday evening, March 23, 2007 in the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital of Cooperstown.
The daughter of Raymond and Altheda (Mayhood) Barrett, Dorothy was born in Windsor on July 23, 1939. Growing up in Windsor, she attended the local schools. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Stalker and companion Haroldwayne Watkins of Durham, N.C., and her son, Kenneth Stalker, Jr. and wife Tanya of DeRuyter; by her grandson, Kenneth Stalker III, and Alexander Watkins whom she considered to be her grandson; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Ken, Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters: Marion Bronson, Anna Johnson, Bernice Deyo; and her brothers: Raymond Jr., Alvin, Joseph, Charles, Frederick, and Austin Barrett.
Graveside services for Dorothy will be held in the spring from South Plymouth Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
