Michael St. Denny


NORWICH – Michael Patrick St. Denny, 44, formerly of Norwich and recently of Norfolk, Va., passed away unexpectedly March 9, 2007 in the DePaul Medical Center of Norfolk.
Born in Norwich on Nov. 16, 1962, Mike attended and graduated from the Norwich schools and was a member of their football team. He attended Delhi University for a short time prior to serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1980-1981. Returning home after his discharge, Mike worked at various jobs in Norwich and the surrounding communities. For the past year, while living in Norfolk, he had worked in auto sales and in the landscaping business. A free spirit who loved life and lived it to the fullest, he had a vast number of friends. He was extremely fond of Harley motorcycles, and was the proud owner of one which he loved to ride and take on tours. Mike enjoyed watching the New York Mets and the Dallas Cowboys, of which he was a die-hard fan. Above all, he was very devoted to his son, Brandon.
Mike is survived by his son, Brandon St. Denny of Norwich; his mother, Patricia Griffis St. Denny of Norwich; brother, William Cusack and wife Betsy of Cincinnati, Ohio; step-brothers. Mark St. Denny of Florida and David St. Denny of Connecticut; and by his companion Kelly Eastman of Earlville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Brian and Rachel Cusack, and Stephanie and Travis St. Denny of Norwich; aunts and uncles: Gail and Ron Annese of Norwich, and Thomas and Venna Griffis of Denver, Colo.; and by lifelong friends, William Conklin of New Berlin and Martin Provo of Oxford. Mike was predeceased by his father, William A. Cusack and his adoptive father, Ralph St. Denny,
Private graveside services for Mike will be held at the convenience of the family from Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
