Robert Reid

ENDICOTT - Robert Allen Reid, 47, of Endicott, passed away unexpectedly on Sat., (June 2, 2006) while visiting the home of his parents in Guilford.
Born on Nov. 24, 1958 in Syracuse, Robert was the son of Robert and Sally (Clark) Reid, Sr. He grew up in and around Cortland and was educated in the Cortland schools. Robert worked for the Cortland County Planning Dept., as well as at various other jobs in the Cortland area, prior to the 1990’s when he relocated to Endicott. Each of Robert’s jobs reflected his love of cooking in some way, whether he was working as a cook or in some other food service capacity, and he thoroughly enjoyed his job with Central Foods of Endicott. He also loved to garden and to can produce. Everyone was Robert’s friend. He was a “people-person” who would say “he’s a friend of mine” just about everyone he met. A talented man, he loved working with wood, doing carpentry or repairing furniture. He liked antiques, and enjoyed listening to music.
Robert is survived by his children: Leslie Reid of Elmira, Donald Reid of Cortland, and Cassie Reid of Elmira; his mother and step-dad, Sally and Archie Hubbard of Guilford; sisters Cindy Waters and husband, Jim, of Margaretville, Melody Gagnon and husband, Tom, of Sunrise, Fla., and Lisa Cinquantio and Husband, Jim, of Cortland; and his brother, David (Tim) Reid of Bainbridge; his granddaughter, Gracie Reid along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Sr.

Thomas Cupps, Utica, NY Stake President, will preside, with Peter Mennis, Norwich Branch President, conducting the service. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery of DeRuyter.
