Mabel Harris


SHERBURNE – Mabel L. (Armstrong) Harris, age 87, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville NY, after battling a long illness.
Mabel was predeceased by her mother and father, George and Mabel (Stockwell) Armstorng, husband Claude D. Harris, daughter Donna Schroer, two sisters, Ethel (Armstrong) Cook and Doris (Armstrong) Anessi, and her spouse; and two brothers, Lester Armstrong and his spouse, and Raymond Armstrong and his first spouse.
She is survived by her children, James Schroer, Marilyn and Henry Galler, Jay Harris, Jacquelin Harris, Claude Harris, Richard Harris, Debra Hitchcock Niles, Sharon Davenport, Merry and Robert Bormann; sister-in-law Gladys Armstrong, wife of Raymond Armstrong; nieces and nephews, Jackie and Hugh Cook, Mary Cook, Teresa Cook, Carl and Darlene Harris, and Phillip Harris. She was also blessed to be a grandmother of ten and great grandmother of nineteen, all of whom she loved dearly and was very proud of.
Mabel was also a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Sherburne, NY.
Friends and family are welcome to attend her Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Classic St., Sherburne, NY, followed by interment in the Episcopal Church parish cemetery.
Mabel’s family would also like to take this time to thank all of the nurses and employees at Crouse for taking such wonderful care of Mabel. She loved all of you.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
