LEBANON – Deland D. Niles, 55, of Bradley Brook Rd., passed away Thursday,
July 18, 2013 at home.
He was born July 26, 1957 in Norwich, a son of Merle and Florence Eaton Niles and was a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville Central School. Deland was a refrigeration and farm equipment repairman for Fisher Farms in Canastota for more than 30 years.
His favorite hobbies were bowling at Hi- Skor Lanes in Earlville, golfing, snowmobiling and hunting. Deland was the president of the Lebanon Community Club.
Surviving are his sons, Jeremy Niles and his fiancée, Tiffany Baye of Utica; Jason Niles and his fiancée, Amy Goncalves of Westfield, MA; sister and brother-in-law, Gay and Wayne Groves of Earlville; brothers, Bill Niles of VT; Darwin Niles of Lebanon and Patrick Niles of PA; grandchildren, Ethan and Ariana of Westfield, MA; sister-in-law, Helen Niles of Lebanon; and many
nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert
R. Niles and a sister-in-law, Lois Niles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on July 24 from the Burgess
& Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, followed by interment
in the Earlville Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
