SHERBURNE – Frederick D. Maxson, 72, of Sherburne, formerly of New Berlin, NY passed away on May 24, 2013 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.
Fred was born on November 26, 1940 in New Berlin, NY the son of Arnold and Sarah (Larrabee) Maxson. His childhood was spent in the New Berlin and Leonardsville areas. On October 27, 1962 he married Evelyn Tyler, who survives him. He was the owner and operator of Maxson Sanitation for 30 years.
Fred is survived by his daughters, Robin Wright of Norwich, NY; Daniel and Judy Rogers of Smyrna, NY; Jennifer Collage of Norwich, NY; and Jackie and Mike Witt of South Plymouth, NY; and one son, Jeffrey (Yogie) Maxson, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Smith of Norwich; Pat and Rich Benjamin of Burlington Flats, NY; Joyce Ray of New Berlin; and brothers, David and Jean Maxson, South New Berlin, NY; and Arnie and Cindy Maxson of New Woodstock, NY.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Stephen Reese officiating.
