NORWICH – Rose E. Marvin, 81, of Norwich, passed away Wed., April 10, 2013, in the Chase Memorial Nursing Home of New Berlin.
Rose was born in Cortland, NY on March 23, 1932 the daughter of Clifford and Lillian Jackson Hicks Dzimitrowicz. She spent her entire life in the Chenango County area and was a 1950 graduate of the South Otselic. Over the years she was employed by the Norwich Knitting Mill.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Patricia Seele,y of Port Charlotte, FL; her grandchildren, Brian Kirk, Josh Marvin and Chris Marvin; her son-in-law, Terry Kirk, of Texas; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Delmer Marvin, her daughter, Gloria Kirk, her son, David Marvin, her sister, Georgia Law, and brother Delos Hicks.
Graveside services for Rose will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Deer Pond Cemetery in North Pharsalia. The Rev. Joseph Connolly, Pastor of the United Church of Christ of Norwich, will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
