E. Antoinette Donenko


GUILFORD – E. Antoinette (Nettie) Donenko, 65, of Guilford, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, April 1, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Guilford. Nettie was born on February 23, 1948, daughter of the late Alexander and Antoinette (Fouquet) Donenko in Germany. Nettie loved to travel and was involved in the food service industry most of her life. She was also a member of the Salvation Army in Oneonta. She loved her family and relished the time spent with them.
Nettie is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Stevens and her companion, Tim Barnes, Guilford, and Erika Briggs and her companion, Matthew Handy, Guilford; two sons, John Briggs and fiance, Haddie Crosby, Bainbridge, and Jonathan and Wendy Donenko; two brothers, George Donenko, Lisle, and Peter Donenko and friend, Linda Belcom, Bainbridge; five grandchildren, Hunter Stevens, Spencer Stevens, Elliott Briggs, Olivia Briggs and Patrick DeMichele; and 4 very special friends, Betty, Muffy, Lolly and Anna.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A memorial Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St., Sidney, with Fr. Gordon Polenz, pastor officiating. Memorial donations in Nettie’s name may be directed to either the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, PO Box 182, Sidney, NY 13838.
