Deanna Murray


BAINBRIDGE – Deanna Mae Murray of Bainbridge passed away at 5:35 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2007 after a valiant battle with gastric cancer. Her three children and her devoted Jack Russell Terriers, Buddy and Jack, were at her side at the time of her passing.
Deanna was born on June 1, 1943 in Tuxedo to Ludare and Marian Dulgarian. She graduated from Monroe Woodbury High School in Monroe in 1961. She married George W. Rogers in 1963. They were divorced in 1989. He passed away on Oct. 6, 1995. Deanna married Fletcher Murray in 1996. He predeceased her on Jan. 5, 2005.
Deanna is survived by her father, Ludare Dulgarian of Middletown; two brothers, Charles Dulgarian and Doug Dulgarian, also of Middletown. She is also survived by her mother, Marian Finnegan of Greenwood Lake and a brother Russell Finnegan, also of Greenwood Lake. Deanna is survived by her three children, Dawn D. Rogers Kroll and her husband Ernie, of Otego, George W. (Bill) Rogers, Jr. and his wife Tone, of Sherburne, and Patricia (Trisha) Y. Rogers of Tucson, Ariz. Deanna has two granddaughters, Taylor Winters and Kaitlin Winters, both of Tucson. Ariz. Additionally, Deanna is survived by several nieces, nephews and one aunt.
Deanna had many fond memories of growing up and living in various places, including Lakeville, Conn., Monroe, Warwick, Guilford, and Bainbridge. She also enjoyed the desert southwest of Tucson, Ariz. Deanna was an avid gardener and helped to found the Jericho Garden Club. Her other hobbies included knitting, crocheting, painting, quilting, woodworking, jewelry making, stained glass, and stamp/card making. She enjoyed reading and learning about her Armenian heritage and its rich culture, and recently became a member of St. Gregory’s Armenian Church, Binghamton.
The family will be in attendance for calling hours on Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Dorothy Memorial Home, Bainbridge. The funeral will be held at Dorothy Memorial Home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Wright officiating.
Deanna’s children would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and aides who treated her during her illness.
