Anna Camp


LATHAMS CORNERS – Anna Mae (Townsend) Camp, 76, passed away at her home in Lathams Corners on Feb. 3, 2013. She was born in Gilbertsville on Feb. 27, 1936 to Howard Townsend Sr. and Pearl (Webster) Townsend.
Anna resided in Chenango County for her entire adult life, working as a dietary aide at Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin until her retirement in 2001. She was a devoted Mom and Grandmother, who also enjoyed gardening and canning the produce she grew. She loved the outdoors and was a frequent visitor at Roger’s Conservation Center in Sherburne. A loving and kind person, Anna will be missed by all who knew her.
Anna is survived by her brother Howard Townsend; sister Wanda Brown; and children: Pamela Camp of New Berlin, Kevin Camp of Kirkwood, Thomas Camp of Smyrna, and Timothy Camp of Shrewsbury, MA; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son LeRoy Camp II.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Lyle Linder officiating at the Dakin Funeral Home LP of New Berlin. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service, also at the funeral home.
The interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, White Store.
