NORWICH – Lisa Burlison Lella, born March 30, 1968, was called home to her Savior on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. Born to LeRoy E. Burlison (d) and Sara B. Burlison, Lisa battled cancer since the age of 29. She is survived by her husband Frank J. Lella, her son Colin Burlison, and her son and daughter-in-law Zachary and Jamilee Maricle. Lisa’s greatest joy in the past year was being able to see her granddaughter Emily Elizabeth Maricle born, and thrive, despite many obstacles. Lisa was most recently a dedicated RN and nursing supervisor, caring for others even as she was being cared for herself. Despite the long and arduous battle, the victory has been won, and she now resides in her Father’s house.
She is also survived by her mother Sara, her brothers Wayne and William (Bill), her grandmother Mabel, and many loving family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Broad Street United Methodist Church, located at 74 North Broad St., Norwich.
Family and friends of Lisa are encouraged to come and bring pictures, stories, and memories.
