Joyce Tefft


OXFORD – Joyce A. Tefft, 57, of Oxford passed away on Jan. 25, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
She was born on July 6, 1955 in Binghamton, a daughter of Carl and Dorothy (Carman) Canniff. On July22, 1973, she married William R. Tefft, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Tefft Jr.; her sons, Craig Tefft and his significant friend Claudia Albin, and Todd and Jen Tefft and their children, Rachel and Kaylin; her father, Carl Canniff; and her niece, Stacey Singer, her fiance Brandon Hall and their son Jadon Singer, and daughter Alisa Martin. She is also survived by a very large extended family. She was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy and her sister Linda.
Joyce was the transportation supervisor for Oxford Academy and Central School. She enjoyed quilting and flowers. She had served on the McDonough Emergency Squad and the Oxford Emergency Squad. She was a former 4-H leader.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the United Church of Oxford, 25, Main St., with the Rev. Allen Lang officiating.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
