OXFORD – Aileen Brauer, 83, of Oxford, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 8, 2013, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 22, 1929 in New York City, Aileen was the daughter of Barnet and Gertrude Brauer Ballew. She spent most of her life in the New York City area. While living in New York she was employed as an auditor for the Home Life Ins. Co., now know as Phoenix Life, and moved to this area 20 years ago.
Aileen is survived by her very close and dear friends Grace Gesslein of Oxford and Bob Gesslein also of Oxford as well as several distant cousins.
Aileen will be greatly missed by her adopted family.
Private graveside services for Aileen will be held this week from St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Oxford.
