Dawn Kreiner


SOUTH PLYMOUTH – Dawn S. Kreiner, 55, of South Plymouth, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.
She was born on March 29, 1957, the daughter of the late Gertrude Clancey.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Kreiner. As a devoted mother and grandmother, surviving are her sons John Beckwith and Joe Beckwith, of Oxford and grandchildren John Beckwith, Jr., Joshua Beckwith, and Adam Beckwith, Alex Beckwith, Zachary Beckwith. Also surviving is her sister Carol Fleming and her husband Rick of Marathon, and her brother Gary Clancey of Binghamton, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends that loved her dearly, including a very special “sister” and life long friend, Ellen Loughren of York, Pa. Dawn was predeceased by her mother Gertrude, and her other brother Terry Clancey.
Dawn spent her childhood in Greene and attended Greene Central schools. She worked at Champion Products and for many years at Norwich Eaton (P&G) Pharmaceuticals. Dawn had a zest for life and was always laughing or cracking a joke. She was kind and caring with a compassionate nature. Dawn always put others first and was always there to lend a helping hand. Dawn loved her beautiful home and always made it a warm and welcoming place. She transformed the old railroad bed, aka “The Bank,” in the back yard at her new home into a beautiful sanctuary of all different types of plantings and sitting areas, referred to by others as Dawn’s “Park.” In the summer she could often be found on the lawn tractor mowing the grass.
Dawn was a lover of nature, outdoors and animals. She had many pets through the years which included ducks, rabbits, and a goat. Her most recent love was for her special Munchkin Kitties. Dawn was also a fan of NASCAR and enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycle with her husband.
Family and friends of Dawn are invited to celebrate and remember her at the Plymouth Fire House, 3461 State Highway 23, South Plymouth on Saturday from 1 to 4 in the afternoon, as there will be no calling hours or services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory should be directed to either the Chenango SPCA or the American Cancer Society.
Dawn’s smile, laughter and warmth will be greatly missed by all.
