Carolyn Predmore


SHERBURNE – Carolyn N. Predmore, 67, of East State St., passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at home.
She was born Sept. 18, 1945 in Norwich, a daughter of William and Helen Stafford Miles. She was a graduate of Oxford Academy and SUNY Morrisville with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. On Aug. 4, 1978, Carolyn married Melvin Predmore in Oxford. Carolyn had worked at Norwich Pharmaceuticals and later for 10 years at Cheseborough Ponds (then Sherwood Medical) in Sherburne as a sterilization supervisor.
Carolyn was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Sherburne. She was also an active member and officer of the Trackside Blazers Snowmobile Club in Forestport. Her favorite hobby was tending her gardens, and above all, she most enjoyed the time spent with her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Melvin; her children, Jeffery and Anne Marie Miller of Boston, Mass.; Stacey Miller of Albuquerque, N.M.; Kristine Predmore of Cincinnatus; Denise Russell of Georgetown; sisters and brother-in-law, Joan and David Harvey of Sherburne; and Barbara Miles of Bellefont, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce McGowan and Madaleine “Mazie” Bradt; and two brothers, Jack Miles and Ronald Stafford Miles, Sr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Church of the Epiphany, Classic St., Sherburne.
Interment in the Riverview Cemetery, Oxford will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of Chenango County, or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
