Ann Kligerman


NORWICH –Ann K. (Mickel) Kligerman, 48, of Norwich, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in the Wilson Regional Medical Center of Johnson City.
Mickel was born in Yonkers on Feb. 7, 1964, the daughter of Michael and Monica Daly Kligerman. She spent the early years of her life in Yonkers and at the age of ten moved with her family to California. In 2003, she moved to Norwich to be with her parents as her father grew ill. While in California, Mickel had worked for a period of 10 years for Viacom in Universal City and also as a travel agent in San Francisco.
Mickel was a very talented and enthusiastic individual. She was a competitive ice skater in Van Nuys, CA where she also volunteered for various charities. In addition she also participated in the telethon for Jerry’s Kids at Easter time. Mickel also attended a creative writing, comedy and photography class in the LA area. This allowed her to showcase comedy at open mike in many of the top comedy clubs as well as do extra work in the production of television programs. She attended classes at City College and was a strong advocate in the education of HIV testing and education.
Mickel is survived by her mother Monica Kligerman, her grandmother Monica Daly and her uncle Bill Daly all of Norwich and last but not least her feline friends.
A celebration of Mickel’s life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. Deacon David Kirsch of St. Paul’s Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
