Marie A. Henninge, 52, of Smithville Flats passed away at home on Aug. 9, 2012, with her family by her side. She was born on December 9, 1959 in Binghamton, NY, a daughter of the late Fred and Claire (Doxie) Henninge, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, June’ay Oliver; her brothers and sisters, Fred P. and Donna Henninge, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Barbara Coleman of Smithville Flats; Margaret S. Stanton of Binghamton; Garrie and Karen Henninge of Kokomo, Indiana; and Joe and Jackie Henninge of Greene. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Stephen and Amy Miller. Her faithful dog, Tank, also survives. She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Warnoc.
Marie worked for Chenango County Department of Social Services. She loved watching June’ay play any sport. She loved her trips to the casinos. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and a NASCASR fan, especially for the Earnharts. She loved the family card games, often lasting in to the wee hours of the morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Greene. Burial will follow in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene.
