Judy Riggall


NORWICH – Judy Thendara Diver-Riggall, 69, of Norwich, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, in the Wilson Regional Medical Center of Johnson City.
Judy was born April 1, 1943 in Oneonta, the daughter of Bernard and Lotttie Georgia Hartwell. She attended school in Mt. Upton and has called Norwich her home for many years. Over the years Judy has worked for the Driftwood Diner, Valley View Manor Nursing Home, Norwich Shoe Co., the Norwich Knitting Mill, the Norwich Pennysaver and was a advocate for domestic violence victims. She has traveled in all of the states except Alaska.
Judy is survived by her children: Tisha Stanley and husband Brant of Madison, Leian Lanfair and fiancee David Wilber of Norwich, Lottie Brazee of Ocala, Fla., Thomas Redfield and wife Jessica of Oxford, Thendara Hyder and husband Mark of Norwich and Hubert (Bert) Hinckley and wife Angela of Wilmington, N.C.; her sisters Elayna (Lucy) Thomas of Chenango Forks, Betty Sarauw of Plymouth and Billie Jo Hartwell of Arizona; and her brothers John Hartwell and Shaun Hartwell and wife Michelle, all of Mt. Upton. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was predeceased by a daughter, Louise.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Earlville, will officiate.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m.
