BALLSTON SPA – Doris D. Wilson 81, of Ballston Spa, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012.
Born in New Britain, Connecticut, Feb. 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Uretta Doherty. She was a graduate of Albany Teachers College. Doris taught for East Greenbush Central School District and the Burnt Hills Ballston Lake School District.
Doris was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of Heritage Hunters. Gardening, puzzles, playing cards, and sewing were some of her favorite pastimes. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy. She was a communicant of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa.
She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Doherty. Doris is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard D. Wilson, her children, Richard J. Wilson (Lynn) of Schuylerville, David B. Wilson (Jerry) of Averill Park, Diane W. Fiore (Bill) of Gilbert, Arizona, and Deborah A. Kelly (Tony) of Longmont, Colorado, her grandchildren, Whitney Wilson and Billy Fiore, and her two nieces.
A mass of christian burial was held on Thursday, July 19 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa.
