GENEVA – Evelyn M. Swart, 90, formerly of Geneva, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home.
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home 181 N. Main St., Geneva on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be at 9 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home. The Rev. Manilla Owen, pastor of the Seneca Castle United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford, at 2 p.m. on Friday.
Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to the House of John, Clifton Springs.
Evelyn was born in Oxford, and has resided in the Seneca Castle and Geneva area for many years. She was the daughter of the late Ira and Nina Brigham Ingraham. She was employed as a waitress at the former Town Pump Restaurant in Orleans and later was employed in the Dietary Department at Clifton Springs Hospital.
She is survived by her children: Douglas Swart of Penn Yan; Mary Stone of Waterloo; Kenneth Swart of Lyons, and Jennie Castle of South Carolina. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Roswell (Bob) Swart, her son: Richard Swart and Brothers Robert Ingraham, Delos Ingraham and Rodney Ingraham.
